Niko Niko - Privacy Policy

Niko Niko (iOS) - Privacy Policy

Version dated 16 October 2026.

Who is responsible. Niko Niko - Michał Pronobis-Proński, sole proprietorship, ul. Jurija Gagarina 16/27, 00-754 Warsaw, Poland, e-mail: zapytaj@slowjogging.net.

What the app does not do. We have no server. The app has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics tools, and sends us no data. We do not know who uses it or how. In the App Store the app is labelled "Data Not Collected".

What the app stores on your phone. Your name (if you enter it), weight, year of birth, level, daily goal, settings, and your run history: date, running and walking time, average cadence, calories, self-assessment and note, plus the full course of every run second by second - running, walking and pauses, step cadence, heart rate from a sensor and (if you turn on route recording) the GPS route. All of it stays in your phone's storage (and its backup, if you make one). You can delete a single run in your history; uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Apple Health. With your permission the app can read your weight and heart-rate zones from the Health app (zones on iOS 27 and later). It can also read workouts that Niko Niko saved there earlier - only so that it does not save the same run twice. When you ask, it can save a run there as a workout: time, calories, heart rate from your sensor, and distance and route if the run has a recorded route. This happens only on your phone, under Apple's rules. You can revoke access in Health → Sharing. We do not pass Health data to anyone or use it for ads or analytics.

Sensors. Cadence comes from the phone's motion sensor (with "Motion & Fitness" permission). If you connect a Bluetooth heart-rate strap or band, the app reads heart rate (and beat-to-beat intervals, if the sensor sends them) only during a run and stores them in the run's record on your phone.

Location. Only if you turn on "Route recording (GPS)" in Settings and allow location access. The app then records the route only during a run (also with the screen off - iOS shows the location indicator). The route stays on your phone. Turn the option off in the app's Settings; revoke access in the phone's Settings.

Export. With premium you can create a package with your whole history (JSON, CSV and GPX files with a description of the format). You create it and you decide where it goes - the app never sends it anywhere by itself.

Premium purchase. Payment is handled by the App Store. Apple tells us only that a purchase was made - no personal or payment data. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Your rights. Because we process no data about you, there is nothing on our side to disclose or erase - everything is on your device. For privacy questions write to zapytaj@slowjogging.net.

Changes. We will announce changes to this policy in the App Store update notes and on this page.
